DCHS Cura Scholarship

The DCHS Cura Scholarship is an emergency scholarship set up to help students in the Doisy College of Health Sciences who have experienced an unexpected financial need. In the past, this scholarship has helped a student return to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Dorian, assisted students who lost everything in an apartment fire and supported DCHS families caring for a loved one with a terminal illness. Your support of this scholarship allows us to help DCHS students during a time in their lives when they need their Billiken family the most.

DCHS Summer Scholars Health Care Exploration Camp

The DCHS Summer Scholars Health Care Exploration Camp allows rising high school sophomores and juniors to experience the various degree programs within the Doisy College of Health Sciences. Priority is given to applicants from underrepresented and underserved communities within our region. The summer camp gives these high school students the opportunity to learn more about the vast career options available with a degree from one of these programs.

In honor of SLU Giving Day, esteemed alumnus Rudi Roeslein (IT ’71) has graciously agreed to give $100,000 to Saint Louis University once we reach 500 donors today. “I am so privileged and honored to help these young adults, who are the future leaders of our country,” Roeslein said.

McCulla Bridge Fund Challenge
The Summer Science Research Program for High School Students provides an immersive research experience for high school students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. In this program, students work with faculty mentors on summer research projects and take part in career readiness activities. Today, once 10 gifts are made to the McCulla Bridge fund, an additional $1,200 will be unlocked by generous faculty member Ryan McCulla. Once 20 gifts have been made, an additional $3,800 will be unlocked from generous alumnus Kyle Howerton. (AS '08).
