Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Development

The purpose of this fund is to host a series of ongoing events to support and recognize underrepresented students at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Student and Resident Mental Health Awareness Fund

With the increase in medical students and residents vulnerable to suffering depression and burnout, the Saint Louis University School of Medicine created a fund to support mental health and awareness initiatives. This fund will establish a new relaxation space, more accessibility to therapy services, mental health screenings, mental health first aid training, and other wellness programs during the academic year. This fund will be utilized at the discretion of the dean to ensure timely programming for students' and residents' current needs.

In honor of SLU Giving Day, esteemed alumnus Rudi Roeslein (IT ’71) has graciously agreed to give $100,000 to Saint Louis University once we reach 500 donors today. “I am so privileged and honored to help these young adults, who are the future leaders of our country,” Roeslein said.

McCulla Bridge Fund Challenge
The Summer Science Research Program for High School Students provides an immersive research experience for high school students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. In this program, students work with faculty mentors on summer research projects and take part in career readiness activities. Today, once 10 gifts are made to the McCulla Bridge fund, an additional $1,200 will be unlocked by generous faculty member Ryan McCulla. Once 20 gifts have been made, an additional $3,800 will be unlocked from generous alumnus Kyle Howerton. (AS '08).
